Background

Case Study Client #3 is a comprehensive academic health system with an adult and pediatric trauma and burn center.

As a premier health network, this Client was in search of a partner and an automated quality assurance platform that would help the system with:

  • Quality measurement
  • A detailed breakdown of quality issues
  • An organization to help monitor and strategize plans for improvement

Process

The Client partnered with Core and its quality assurance platform to create an effective means to monitor overall quality scores. Area scores were detailed, and action plans were put into place when needed. Exam rooms, labs, and waiting areas were among the first areas identified as areas in need of attention and were addressed.

Results

After 18 months, this Client’s quality score utilizing the Smart Inspect platform remains in the 96%- 97% range.

During the same 18-month time frame, the following areas have increased their quality scores:
Labs: From 84% – 93%
Waiting Areas: 81% – 91%
Exam Rooms: 75% – 97%

Conclusion

After 18 months of continuous collaboration, this Client’s quality assurance scores have steadily increased. The two organizations continue to monitor and communicate on a regular basis. Scores are reviewed and any issues that arise are discussed with action plans immediately developed and implemented.
